Question : Microsoft Office Outlook Credential Loop
Hello!
Just recently, a user with a Laptop running windows xp pro sp3 having this weird credential loop issue with his outlook account. His mailbox is on an exchange 2k7 server, and he runs outlook 2007. He normally connects by rpcmail, but for the sake of troubleshooting this issue, I have him plugged into the subnet with the exchange server. Everytime outlook tries to load up his profile, it tells them there password has expired, and needs to be changed. I enter in the proper credentials (username, domain, old password, new password) but it gives me the same error every time:
"Your Windows Passwod cannot be changed. The local policy does not allow the new password."
the user can connect via owa perfectly fine, the user has recently had malware/virus issues, which I'm guessing attributes to the problem. My best guess is that a trojan or some virus modified the local security policies on his machine.
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks!

nevermind, figured it out
cached passwords went corrupt for some reason, deleting them and reopening outlook fixed the issue
