Question : Cannot install ISA 2006, get error “A Connection to the specified Configuration Storage Server"
I am trying to install ISA Server 2006 onto a MS Server 2003 (STD, 32 bit).
It is on a new VMware domain.
It is a new installation, the only thing I have run is DCPROMO, standard settings, nothing fancy.
However, when I try and install ISA Server 2006 I get the following error.
“A Connection to the specified Configuration Storage Server could not be established.
This may be because the local computer needs to be added to the Managed ISA computers set”.
See attached screen shot.
Guys....you have never let me down before, please help me out.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards.

Answer : Cannot install ISA 2006, get error “A Connection to the specified Configuration Storage Server"
why are you installing ISA on a domain controller?
I wouldn't do that if I were you as ISA is a very advanced firewall and will kill your domain functionality.
