Question : Leased Lines VPN Advice Consulting Telecommunications

Advice on things like VPN's , Leased Lines , Phone traffic across VPN's or Leased lines, IP Phone Switches, etc between two factories.

- We are based in Ireland
- We have two factories that are situated 15 miles apart.
- We have both a leased line and a VPN link between the two.
-Our network file server ( Microsoft Server 2003 with MS Exchange 2003 ) and Telephone switch are both located in one of the factories, our Head Quarters ( HQ).
-I think that currently Data is going across the VPN and Voice is going across the Eircom Leased Line.

When Boradband goes down at HQ, the remote factory goes down completely including Data and Voice
The current Eircom leased line is probably a bit expensive also.
I'm not sure if we should depend on the public broadband as a solution
I need redundancy such that we have a back up solution when a digger diggs up a comms line or Eircom have a problem with a card in their exchange

We need some advice on things like

VPN's
Leased Lines
Phone traffic across VPN's or Leased lines
IP Phone Switches

Primarily we need to work with and meet a company that specialises in Telecoms.

I/T companies:  So far when we ask around we get I/T companies / individuals who are generalists and know some of this stuff but are not convincing enough
Phone Switch Companies: People who sell phone switches and also supply IP Phone solutions I don't know if I can fully trust them to have in-depth experience with Data over VPN's and leased lines.
Large Telecom Suppliers: Larger companies like Eircom, Imagine, etc, do not seem interested enough to respond.

I guess we need to meet with a specialist with no hidden agendas ( not trying to sell their solution ), who knows and understands the alternatives, to recommend a solution to cover us for at least the next 3 years.

Thanks,
Robert.
