Question : Backup Exec 12.0 Media

I have backup exec 12.0 on a windows server backing up to USB Hard drives (Qty 10).
On the root of the drives I see IMG**** folders and also a Veritas\b2d\ folder with *.bkf files.
i) Firstly the drives are filling up with old backups and I need to configure each drive to hold only one full copy of the backup and overwrite all others regardless of which drive is being used.
ii) What are the IMG folders and are they needed in conjuction with the *.bkf files for a good restore?
