Question : Large Data file, Excel alternative

I have a large CSV that is sorted ascending instead of decending. Excel cant deal with its size. so what program can I use to do this job that is usually done so simply in Excel?

Or is there some way of getting excel to deal with more than 65000 lines?

Perhaps upgrade .... Excel 2007 has 1 Million rows

What do you need to do on your file? Could you handle running it over multiple sheets if it won't fit on a single Excel 2003 sheet?
