Question : My browser is contantly being redirected to phony sites

I seem to be infected with some weird virus or SOMETHING.  I use google (for example) to locate a web site, (like experts exchange) click on the link that has the right URL shown, and either wind up at ANOTHER search engine or at another scam site of some sort.  Moving arouind on the internet is EXTREMELY slow and sometimes the browser simply refuses to connect at all (especially with subpages on a site after I've reached the home page).  This happens on major sites like Adobe, Reallusion, CNN, etc.
I use Google, Bing and Webferret to reach websites but they all behave equally poorly.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

I've tried turning off "protected mode" and the firewall and that helped some ar first but now it's doing the same thing again.

Reaching the home page (lickling on UE) must sometimes be done 3. 4. or 5 times before I'm able to achieve a connectioon.

Help!

Haven't checked the ComboFix log yet, but have you tried TDSSKiller?

TDSSKiller and save it to your Desktop.

Here's an article if it helps.
