Question : Logon script : gpupdate /force

Hi,

I have added the command gpupdate /force to all my users logon scripts, and it executes beautifully. The only issue is that it pauses on the question Logon(Y/N). Obviously on the user side, this is going to cause some confusion - is there any way I can script in the answer to this question into the logon script with the gpupdate /force command?

Thanks!

TechGoddess82...keep digging sweetie, you'll hit rock bottom soon :)

When GPUPDATE is used with the /force switch that the user is suggesting, all group policy objects are reapplied and used in conjunction with either /logoff or /boot will still force the user to logoff and reboot.  If the /force switch wasn't in force, then /logoff or /boot could be used as the switches would only take effect when there was a policy update.

/Force

This switch reapplies all policy settings. By default, only the policy settings that have changed are applied.
