Question : Can I use a NAS to Backup my VM's
Hi,
I have 1 physical server running VMWare ESXi. (Paid Version)
I have three physical network cards; 1 used by the ILO, 1 used by VM Service Console and 1 used by a virtual fire wall that protects my VM’s.
I now want to backup my VM’s, can I just add an extra physical network card and attach a NAS? Would the VMWare see the NAS and allow me to use it as a data store?
Regards
William

The NAS has to support NFS3. If it supports NFS3 you should be able to configure it share as a datastore. CIFS NFS mounts are not permited.
