Question : "You replied on..." not showing in Outlook 2007

I've got a client and all of a sudden they're not getting the blue or purple indicator for "you replied" or "you forwarded".

I can't find the settings to turn this on or off in outlook, and all the articles I've found are for Exchange and BlackBerry.

The Client is Using IMAP with AOL and a couple POP3 accounts,

Thanks
Harel

Answer : "You replied on..." not showing in Outlook 2007

When you are dealing with IMAP, the server holds those sections so if there are sync/connection issues, you will drop the TCP/IP link required to update.  Your client won't see the indicated info.  I had a voicemail box that would drop the message lightup function when things were busy and this reminds me of that.

In short bad server connection, ICON field doesn't get updated.
The fastest way to Identify a bad message; especially in a large/Old AOL mail box is to go into the folder view in outlook where the folder has the "[email protected]" tag, right click, select "IMAP Folders".   Unsubscribe all the folders except one, and try to sync.  You may need to try until you have a single clean, syncing IMAP folder.  Next thing start adding the folders back in one at a time.  You may need to use the AOL or other web interface to move messages out of the default and required folders once the required folders are empty they should sync.  You will eventually identify the bad message(s).
You can log into AOL web mail, and creat new folders for each folder on the server that failed to sync, like (FolderName and FolderNameNew), move all messages into FolderNameNew.   Than start moving them back in groups of 20.  When Foldername stops Syncing again, go into the webmail and open all 20 messages, kill the corrupt ones. Eventually it will work out.
Remember it can take hours of moving messages and subscribe/unsubscribe to remove all the bad messages.
