Question : Lost Password on XP machine want to reformat
I have a laptop I haven't used in a while. I'ts an XP machine. I'm trying to logon to it because I want to upgrade the OS, but I cant remember the password. There is no information on the machine that I need. So how can I reformat the hard drive and install Windows 7?

if you put in the Windows 7 DVD into the drive, in the BIOS select the first boot device as CD/DVD and it should boot from the operating system and then follow the installation procedure
