Question : SQL Express generating MDF a newer version that it cannot open?

Hi,
I have installed SQL Server Express version 10.0.1600 RTM.
I have Visual Web Developer installed and have created a new database. I then attach this into SQL Management tool. Next I use the export tool to create a copy which runs through without error. However when I try to attach this new MDF file it says that it cannot be opened because the MDF file is version 661 and the server only supports version 655.
Can’t understand why it’s generating a file which it then says it cannot open?
