Question : MIgrating WSUS to new hardware and migrate to SQL
We currently have a one server install of WSUS using a local database (d:\wsus\updateservicesdbf
iles\susdb
.mdf). We need to install WSUS on a new piece of hardware, same OS.
If I go thru the install, but point to our SQL server, can I then import the MDB to the SQL database? Then I would need to import the metadata (like in the Disconnected Networks of the deployment guide) and hope all is well.
OR should we just install fresh and rebuild info and database.
Thanks for any comments you may have
