Question : What can I do to resolve the group policy objects from not applying themselves?
Some of the group policy objects are not applying on our network. I think I know what the problem is but want to be 100% sure of how to properly resolve it and not cause problems with our domain controller. Up until late May 2010, we had two DC's (UNITEDSERVER1 and UNITEDSERVER2). In late May, the second one stopped working all together due to a major hardware failure. All the second server was doing was to replicate our AD and assist with logins to the network should the first server be busy. As a result of that (I believe), any Group Policy objects that I've either created or updated from that point on will not apply at all. Any existing GP objects that have not been modified since then seem to be applying correctly. I've attached two files
dcdiaglog.txt
(7 KB)
(File Type Details)
DCDiag log file
errorscreen.txt
(515 bytes)
(File Type Details)
Event Viewer Error
which should show what is going on with our file server. My question is this... Can I simply disable the file replication service on the remaining server and remove the non-working server as a DC in AD to solve the problem or will that cause problems? Or is there some other way to solve the problem?

Why are you deleting data that other tables depend on? Don't you have any referential integrity set up (like foreign key constraints)?
