Question : XP installation on Sony laptop won't recognize floppy drive
I have a client's Vaio laptop. I went through an issue with the hard drive connector inside the PC and replaced it. It originally came with Vista on it, but the client can't find the original disks. He has a WIndows 7 upgrade disk I am to install, but I must have an older OS on the PC for that to work.
I have an XP installation disk I want to use, but I have to install a driver for the HD controller during the installation startup. I have the driver on a floppy.
I press F6 dutifully on startup with the floppy drive plugged into a USB port. I insert the disk when the directions say I should. I press the Enter key and...NOTHING HAPPENS (sorry about the shouting, but I'm pretty frustrated). I tried the other USB port, but no joy.
I went out and bought another drive to isolate the problem, and the other drive doesn't change anything.
What do I do now?

You should be calling SwingWorker.publish, not setProgress, and any GUI stuff should, as a result of that call to publish, be treated in SwingWorker.process
