Question : Error when saving a date in MS SQL...

Hi.

I suddenly get this error, when I want to save a record into a MS SQL database:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value.

It is one single date-field that is acting up. Here's the value in the field:

<input type="text" name="kontaktdato" value="<%=date()%>" size="32" />

And the SQL codes:

xkontaktdato = Request.Form("kontaktdato")
sSQL = "INSERT INTO tbl_registrer (kontaktdato) VALUES ('" & xkontaktdato & "')
objConn.execute(sSQL)
bla bla bla... all the usual stuff and a bunch of other variables/values... It worked a few days ago... Inside the MS SQL database the variable is defined as "datetime". That's the "DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM:SS" format... why? MS SQL is driving me nuts soon... Please help and let me know if you need further info.

Best regards

Ullenulle

Answer : Error when saving a date in MS SQL...

for replacing the logic board all i use is a torx screwdriver; but as said you need to have the same model and firmware level board.
if you post that info, we can look if we can find one !
and yes - it's about the only thing you can do, apart from using a recovery service - i recommend this one , good and cheap : http://www.gillware.com/
