Question : IE7 wont open
Hi
I have a client who's computer is playing up after suffering a number of power cuts in the area....
To cut a long story short, they were experiencing various problems, including the active desktop was playing up.... so I figured that I would upgrade to IE8 whilst I was there as it is a better browser than ie7... IE8 failed to installl correctly, so I rolled back to IE7 and now that wont start....
IE7 appears, then immediately disapears.
I have tried to start with no extensions, and have tried to start with a blank page but nothing happening....
I though, I will reset IE7 from #internet options' in the control panel.... but that is now gone! eek!
Any Ideas What is happening and how I can get IE7 to function again?!
Cheers
Answer : IE7 wont open
There is a proxy present, possibly hidden somehow:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Wi
ndows\Curr
entVersion
\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:5643
Scan that machine with Hitmanpro

/hitmanpro
