Question : What benefit does a site really gain from a Blog or something like WordPress being installed.

What are the benefits really to having a Blog on my website. i am a small consulting group. www.reportsolutions.com and I have a Joomla installed website CMS. I am on the fence about having a blog presently we have a Blog category on our Forum. Does a Blog really help or is it just a waste of time. I was told a last year that having a blog could help drive up the number of hits to my site. Those are the things I hear is there more benefit having than not. Any input is greatly appreciated. Ok, I was able to figure out the problem, although it seems kind of nonsensical.  After trying different settings with SSL on/off, HTTP redirects, etc. it seems that what fixed the problem was just changing the HTTP redirect on the Default web site to include the owa directory.  Somehow this was working in the RTM version of Exchange 2007 but maybe with SP3 the path had to be explictly stated.
