Question : is there a way to boot to an attached drive

I have attached a second hard drive with an operating system on my computer.  It comes up as drive L:

My C: drive is my default drive that my computer boots up to.  Is there a way to boot to my L: drive that I attached to the computer.

Answer : is there a way to boot to an attached drive

How is that drive attached, internally (via a controller cable) or externally (via USB or eSATA)?

If internally, try disconnecting the original drive so that only the second one is connected.

If externally, check your BIOS for boot priority options. USB-HDD (or similar) should be made first boot device.
