Question : Best practice for external hard drive gaming
I recently installed a game on my external hard drive. Whenever I want to play a game, I turn on the computer let it start up and then turn on the external hard drive. The drive is connected via USB.
Is this the best way, or should I keep the drive on all the time? Should I defrag it? If so, how frequently and should I use any specific software or should I just use the Windows defragger? Is there anything else I should know to keep this hard drive in good shape?
Thanks.
