Question : Internal domain is company.com so requests for public www.company.com are not found

I have a server 2003 system that was set up with an internal domain name of company.com instead of company.local. This apparently results in internal requests for the public web site at www.company.com being not found. How do I tell those internal requests to keep looking and go outside to the public www.company.com web site?

If tools are installed I would highly recommend going to vmxnet3 as an adapter type. Also check for speed/duplex mismatches. What flavor of VMware is your hosting environment? I have seen issues sometimes with Workstation, VMware Server, or Player using bridged networking sometimes it doesn't negotiate correctly which will cause performance issues.
