Question : Help
Hi,
The company I work for has used SMS to deploy XP SP3 to trench 1 (50 users for testing as we are using various bespoke softwares) but we now are having issues with Microsoft Office 2003 (with SP3) The issue is that users are getting various error messages when trying to open Word or Excell files. We have renamed to Normal.dot file & created a DWORD called Cachesize (set to 1024 in the registry) which has helped some users but others we have to give local admin rights (which we dont wont to do) Its strange because the uses can open the word documents in wordpad without local admin rights? so its not really a security permissions issue? Also Excell is not displaying images but displays a red x instead. We suspect that users had Microsoft office open when SMS deployed XP SP3 & has screwed up mabe something with the security for macros? We have also tried detect & repair, Uninstalled Office & reinstalled it & uninstalled XP SP3 but still have the same issue? at this rate we will not be deploying XP SP3 to the rest of 700+ users unless we can sort this out?
Any help would be great
Thanks
Michael
