Question : cannot log you in because the domain is not available WORKAROUND?
Experts -
I have a computer here at my shop from a client. Their profile was currupted and i had to replace the ntuser file. Now i can't log back in with that account due to the "cannot log you in because the domain is not available." Is there any workaround i can use? They have no VPN. I really would like to finish this instead of going on a drive just to see if this fix i used worked.

Change the log in to field from the domain to the local machine. You should be able to used the cached profile without GP kicking in to test the machine.
