Question : ForeFront Client install loses Windows shares

We recently uninstalled Symantec and installed MS ForeFront Client Security to a number of dev servers. Most work but 2 of the servers are not allowing access to the Windows shares (even Admin shares). One of the things they have in common is the install of ForeFront failed at first and had to be uninstalled and reinstalled. A reboot will restore share access briefly. Removing ForeFront and reinstalling Symantec allows the shares to be accessible.  Another thing the servers have in common is they have the Process Scheduler of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions installed. Our other PS Process Schedulers are fine. Event Logs show no problems.
Any help would be appreciated.

Answer : ForeFront Client install loses Windows shares

Why are you putting two competing products on the same machines at the same time that are both designed to do basically the same job?

I would expect nothing less than a disaster,...I would be amazed that is ever worked correctly on any machine at all.

Determine which of the two products you believe fills the need the best and install it,...then do not install the other.
