Question : Restrict access to specific drives in XP pro.

Hi Experts,

I have a computer which I use for business purpose. This has multiple hard disks (lie E:, F:, & G:). I store all business data in these hard disks. This is also used occasionally by other users. I have created a restricted id for those users but they can still access these above drives. is it possible to completely hide these drives from them.

Answer : Restrict access to specific drives in XP pro.

In http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/techsupport/driverdownload.jsp?prodnameid=3884340&lang=en&cc=us&prodtypeid=15351&prodseriesid=3884339&taskid=135 choose your language and operating system.

On the next page, browse to the Driver-Network section and download the HP Network Configuration Utility 10.0.0.0.

After installing the product, it creates an icon in the systray. On it, right button and Launch application.

Select the network interfaces, click Team button, and provide a name for the team.

In Properties, set the other options that you find necessary. Here you will choose as the team will work (network load balancing, fault tolerance, etc.)
