Question : Need to route some local recipiants to the internet Exchange Server 2007, SBS

Hi All,
I have an SBS2008 server and email is delivered via the POP3 connector.  This is working fine.
However, some staff are based off site and need to collect their emails from the ISP.  (I cannot get them to connect to the server right now, as I am awaiting a static IP).

Of course emails from outside are no problem, as I just do not collect them with the POP3 connector.  But how do I have Exchange route the email from an internal person, so the email ends up at the ISP, rather than exchange thinking the email should be handled locally?

I hope this is clear, but please ask for more info if required.

Thanks
PG

Since their outside mail address is the same as their inside address...you'll have to be creative.   They could setup a Yahoo (or other free pop3 email account) then in SBS you create a mail enabled contact for that person with the new mail account.   Then in Exchange you can set the mailbox to forward all mail for that person to the mail enabled contact.

So even though you don't have a static IP, you could setup Dynamic DNS and have them get their mail via OWA
