Question : how to add user local profile with connect computer wizard, SBS 2008

I am trying to run the http://connect wizard on a workstation to connect to a new SBS 2008 domain server. When I get to the place where I can select the profile, I do not get the local user profile. The help dialog give me the instructions shown in image ConfigureUser.jpg, attached. I get stuck at step 3. In Documents and Settings > (user's folder) > Sharing and Security, there is no 'Make this folder private' checkbox. I have including images of the sharing tab and the security tab.

How do I get my local profile?

Answer : how to add user local profile with connect computer wizard, SBS 2008

The simple answer is to use the ForensIT user profile wizard --- what Microsoft should have come up with in the first place. Works great;

1. Change client Exchange server to the correct new server.

2. Convert system from domain to workgroup and reboot. (make sure you have a local admin account!)

3. run the ForensIT tool to connect back to the domain. It finds the profile.

Simple! No stupid http://connect, no screens of empty drop-down menus.
