Question : Acer Aspire One internal speakers not working

I have an Acer Aspire One netbook (A0A 150) that I just scratch loaded Windows XP SP3 on, installed all the drivers, and when I plug speakers in the audio works from them.  This unit requires Realtek HD which I have installed from the Acer support site.  
I'm skeptical that the speakers are toast, and more apt to think that there's a software issue (something I forgot to install maybe?).  I did install UAA, but after the O/S was installed (clean SP3 OEM disc was used).

try with headphones/earpieces - if those are ok then its the speakers on the laptop for sure
