Question : Expanding virtual disk Raid 5 on Dell Server PowerEdge 2950

I have read some questions and answers on knowledge base related to my issue. However I have a slight different on other.
Here is the story.
I have 6 disks on my server.
2 of them are 33 GB and setup as Raid 1 for operating system - 1 Virtual Disk (C:) is created from these 2 hard drives.
4 of them are 136 GB and configured as Raid 5 for Storage - 1 Virtual Disk (D:) is created from these 4 hard drives for the capacity of 400 GB.
I need more space for my storage because I used almost 400 GB out of D: drive. I want to increase the D: driver to have 1.5 TB.
1/ I already replace all 4 of 136 GB SAS drives with NEW 4 of 500 GB SAS
They are all rebuilt and ONLINE for now.
2/From OM,  I went to the virtual disk to perform the task RECONFIGURE to try expanding the virtual drive.
Problem is here: The OM give me only ONE choice to select (for Raid Level) is RAID 0. However I want to have RAID 5.
My question is: How can I get the RAID 5 show up so I can select it without restart the server or how to expand the capacity for my virtual drive?
Thank you very much for your help.

Answer : Expanding virtual disk Raid 5 on Dell Server PowerEdge 2950

Ok ... first, you cannot "expand" the virtual disk in this manner.  Right now, your options are 1) Create a second array across the same set of disks, or 2) backup data on that volume, delete it, recreate the array using the full size of the disks.

The article referenced to is for a reconfigure - expanding your array by adding ADDITIONAL disks to the array.  You can reconfigure to RAID 0 then back again, but that will not change anything.  The best option is to backup RAID 5, delete, and recreate.
