Question : typing software that allows me to type my own text

there are few typing test software that allow you to type text on the screen and type and then the sw will tell how you are doing.

i need software where i can type based on my book on the side, and i want to a tool to evaluate it.

do you have exposure to any such tools

Notice that it has an extra feature on the platinum version:
"Import your own text as Word.doc formats – be productive while practicing your typing skills "

Not sure if the import is what you are asking for, but I'd give Borderbund a call or send them an email aksing them about what you are trying to do and see what they say.
