Question : Blank screen After WIn XP splash screen.

After trying to install updates from Microsoft the pc froze and required a hard boot. I have gotten to the point where i go all the way to the XP splash screen, but after the system displays a blank screen. There is no reboot and the system seems to be running but nothing is displayed.

It SHOUDLNT damage the files in place, however you shoudl try to back up them up first if at all possible, slave it or use an external hard drive reader.
