Question : Blackberry Enterprise Express on Exchange 2007 Can't resolve name during MAPI Profile Setup
We are looking to install a Blackberry Express server on our Exchange 2007 server. When installing the server, at the point of when it asked to set up the MAPI profile after putting in the keys it can't resolve the name of the exchange server. If I enter the IP address of the server it will validate the BESAdmin miailbox name, but it then changes the IP to the actual name of he Exchange server. Even though it can resolve the name at that point it can't resolve after saving. I have the same issue with the IMESTest.exe utility. It will resolve the IP address to the name but not the name to the IP it seems.
As a note, we have a current Blackberry Professional server on a seperate serveer using the same BESAdmin accoount. It is funtioning fine and the same MAPI setup works fine on that server using the BESAdmin account.
The BPS Server is on a 2003 server and the Exchange 2007server is on a Standard 2008 SP2 server with Exchange 2007 SP2.
I have verified all of the security for the BESAdmin user and again it works fine from the BPS server and the BPS server is handling the Blackberry mail fine.
Anyone have any resolutions to the fact that it won't resolve the Exchange sever name when setting up the MAPI on the exchange server itself but will work fine from another server?
