Question : Cannot connect to Watchguard Firebox X15 Edge after factory reset
Hello
I had an issue with the Watchguard so I decided to perform a factory reset and build it up from scratch - bad idea!
I followed the instructions in the manual (several times):
• disconnect the power
• press the reset button
• reconnect the power while holding down the reset button
• power cycle again once the Attn light stays on solid yellow.
According to the manual I should then be able to connect on
https://192.168.111.1
- this does not work! I have tried a number of IP address scanners but could not find the device. I tried other IP addresses (including the previous IP address) but to no avail.
Can anyone help?
Regards
James

The Firebox has a DHCP server enabled by default, so set your computer TCP/IP settings to auto, and see if you get an IP address.
Then look at the output of ipconfig /all to find the DHCP server IP.
