Question : Mouse slow in Google Chrome after attempted XP sp3 update

I attempted to update my version of XP to sp3 this morning, but was unable to complete the installation. The system rolled back and re-started once the sp3 installation failed.

Following that, my mouse (Logitech Trackman Wheel) has been slow (no acceleration) in Google Chrome (v 5.0.375.55), but functions normally in every other application.

Any thoughts or fixes?

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to this. It seems the quick fix is to go to Control Panel --> Mouse, and uncheck "Disable mouse acceleration in games". The medium-term fix is to install the Mouse Stroke extension in Chrome. The long-term fix is probably to bombard Google with requests for them to fix this.
