Question : Exchange 2003 does not work after reinstalling SMTP service on SBS 2003 Server

Taking MS advice I uninstalled and reinstalled SMTP service from within IIS as I was having issues with my Exchange Server 2003. Now I have reinstalled it and the emails are not getting in or out of the company. I have tried to reinstall Exchange but for some reason it keeps on giving error as Please insert SBS disk 2 or point to location where Exchange Service Pack 1 files are located". I have tried all four disks which are in good condition plus downloaded and extrated SP1 but it does not move. Also even on Exchage installation progress it shows a cross.
Now I am sure that there has to be a simple way of manually creating SMTP service association with exchange Server 2003. Has anybody ever done it? I am tired and have been browsing the web for the past 12 hours with no luck.

Thanks

Answer : Exchange 2003 does not work after reinstalling SMTP service on SBS 2003 Server

Thanks for all the help and sorry for getting back to you guys late. The issue has now been fixed. It seemed that even after installing the exchange and IIS we had to restart the services a few times. Plus one more issue we faced which has only been sorted out yesterday was that our POP connector stopped working so we had to rerun a pop reconfiguration utility from within Small Business Server 2008 / Networking /
