Question : Can I use Powershell to install Windows components?

Hello Experts,

Is there a way to install Windows components using Powershell?  Specifically, I would like to install the WMI Windows Installer Provider on my Windows Server 2003 servers so that I can use Powershell to list the applications installed on my servers using WMI.

Have you taken a look at System stand-alone Optional Component Manager?

Windows XP and Windows Server 2000 / 2003 have a built-in utility called the System stand-alone Optional Component Manager (sysocmgr.exe) to programmatically add or remove Windows components.
