Question : cisco routers and switches

I want to test some cisco routers and switches and sell the cisco products to customers.How do i test the routers and switches so that there should be no returns from the customers.So please can any body can suggest me how to test the routers and switches.

Hi,

1. power test: power on the devices
2. link test: put all ports a device and ping the router or a swith
3. look the logs (is there any error?)
4. reachability test: you able to telnet to the device
