Question : SBS Domain Question
I have a question. I have a customer who has an existing SBS 2003 network on one side of a building and a Workgroup network completley seprate on the other side of the building. I have been tasked to install a new 2008 standard server that is a DC on the second side. I have found out that I need to connect both networks so The second Side can see a data base on the SBS server. I have done this by connecting both switches and putting a secon IP on the systems on the 2008 side. Am I going to have issues with the SBS server seeing anouther Domain Controller on the network? I have heard this can bee an issue with SBS not beeing the only DC on the network?
Answer : SBS Domain Question
Your 2008 server will be on a different network & domain by the sound of it. You will not get any problem from the SBS server when the 2008 server is running.
