Question : Can print but not scan on Brother MFC-7840W on a Mac / "Connection Error"

Hi, I'm using a Brother MFC-7840W wireless printer on a Mac (snow leopard).  The Wireless is provided by an Apple time capsule (hooked up to an AT&T gateway modem / router)
Both my Imac and Macbook pro can print wirelessly, no problem
but...
We can't scan wirelessly
When I open the Brother control center and click on "status monitor", the status is "failed to connect to the device" and it says: "connection error".
How can I make this work?
please help
thanks

Answer : Can print but not scan on Brother MFC-7840W on a Mac / "Connection Error"

I called Brother Mac tech support and they got me to go to the MFC - 7840W menu setup.  From there, I had to select my wireless network from all the ones on offer and then select type of wireless (e.g. WPA 2 or WEP etc.), enter my wireless password and once I did that and a beep came saying "connected" I've been able to scan no problem!
Hope this helps other people in the same position.
thanks guys for trying to help.
