Question : Block Applications and Internet on Balckberry 8520 Curve

Hi All

I have commissioned a new Blackberry Express Server which is all set up and working. Just having a poke around the Policies now. Everything is currently set to default.

Can you tell me is it possible to block all Internet Browsing and 3rd Party Apps from running e.g. Facebook and Twitter.

The requirement is to have the handset as Email only. (Via Exchange)

How do i implement this? Its not straightforward in the Software Policies.

Thx

DC

Usually the Network Provider has to enable the Blackberry Internet Service on the BB units in question for the units to have access to browsing and applications like Facebook or twitter (or even their websites)

Have you tried speaking to your network service provider about this? I can enable unlimited emails on my BB for a small monthly fee but if I activate the internet service, I have to pay a huge subscription. Not sure how your network operator tackles this.
