Question : OWA Setup

I am having a hard time setting up Outlook Web Access on my system.  I have a dsl modem with an external ip address and then everything is routed internally from there.  I have a watchguard firewall, a Windows 2000 Server acting as my domain controller and my exchange host, a web server, and a sql server as well as a couple of workstations on my network.  All of these have unique internal ip addresses on the domain.   I do have a block of available external ip addresses, some of which are unused.

My question is how can i set up this system to get access to my email remotely (OWA) .  I am going out of town today and I would really like to see if i can get this to happen.

Thank you very much in advance!

Answer : OWA Setup

1.Check to make sure that OWA is working internally first, by going to a web broswer, type in http://internalexchangeserveraddress then enter

Uername = domain\username
password = windows network password

2.You need to open an http port 80 or https port 443 (depending on your setup) in your firewall NAT that allows a passthrough from one of your external ip addresses to the internal IP of your exchange server. You might also have it add it to the rules of the firewall if it doesn't automatically add like some firewalls do.

3.Once this port is open, you should be able to type in the IP address from outside your network, and you should get a popup to type in username and password.
