Question : Outlook MAPI session query
Hi All,
I was hoping someone could help with a Outlook/MAPI question I had.
Let's say I have an Outlook 2003 user (backend is Exchange 2003 SP2). This user's Outlook is configured to access not only his mailbox (
[email protected]
) but also a shared one (
[email protected]
).
If both mailboxes were on the same Exchange server, does his local Outlook open one MAPI session to the Exchange server, but watch for responses for both, or open two seperate MAPI connections?
Also, what's the situation with access to Public Folders? Assuming there is a PF store on his Mailbox server, would this constitute a seperate MAPI connections too?
Answer : Outlook MAPI session query
Hello,
Outlook will make a single MAPI connection for all mailboxes on the same server and will make a separate connection for the public folders.
