Question : add second virtual nic to virtual switch - esxi 4 with vCenter 4

jupiter is a virtual server running windows server 2008 with backup exec 2010

jupiter needs to reach the san to store backups

i modified the settings of jupiter (within vcenter) to add a second network adapter

i need the traffic of this second network adapter to route through my iscsi vswitch in order to reach the san (san is on a different subnet)

how do i accomplish this?

Answer : add second virtual nic to virtual switch - esxi 4 with vCenter 4

Power down your VM, right-click -> Edit Settings...and add another NIC, if you haven't already. Add a VM Network on your vSwitch1, give it a unique name. When you go through the add nic wizard of your VM, configure it to go through this other VMnetwork (there is a drop-down).
