Question : Best way to "reimage" office computers so that they all have same OS

Hi,

Is there a common way to set up a network image or something similar so that you can reinstall the OS if you have to.  We have a lot of computers in our office about half running windows xp home, some running vista and a few on windows 7.   I know home premium windows cannot join domains but there is a fix for this.  That's not really my question though.

How would I go about managing the OS on such a large network?  I would like to put professional on all of them eventually.

How do you manage large network of OS.  Is there a way to serve the operating system? or do something over a network?

Thank you

You can image a set of identical machines by setting one up and then distributing the image over a network using a bootable CD in each machine to image its hard drive.

It sounds like you have some licensing issues to resolve first !

Microsoft have a "Deployment tool" for your scenario, see for example http://edge.technet.com/Media/User-State-Migration-with-Windows-7/ also you can create unattended bootable install CDs for your OS.
