Question : Upgrading graphic card ATI Radeon X1650 Pro (RV530)
I have one Asus motherboard with the following technical characteristics :
Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe
3 PCI,
2 PCI-E x1,
2 PCI-E x16,
4 DDR2 DIMM,
Audio,
Dual Gigabit LAN,
IEEE-1394
I have the graphic card
ATI Radeon X1650 Pro (RV530)
which is 16x PCI Express Graphics Interface and has 256MB Memory.
I want to upgrade the graphic card to a new one, i have found the following :
1) MSI R4670-MD1G 1GB DDR3 PCI-E :
Chipset: ATI Radeon HD4670.
Memory: 1GB GDDR3.
Memory Interface: 128bit.
PCI Express x16/2.0.
DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 2.1, Shader Model 4.1, Playback Blu-Ray with on-Chip HDCP
2) ASUS ENGT220/DI/1GD3 LP 1GB PCI-E RETAIL :
Chipset: nVidia GeForce GT 220.
Memory: 1GB DDR3 sta 128-bit.
DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.1
PCI Express 2.0 x16.
Are those 2 graphic cards compatible with my motherboard ;
Do you have to suggest anything else ;
Answer : Upgrading graphic card ATI Radeon X1650 Pro (RV530)
Yes they are both compatible and will both be nice upgrades. Personally, I would go with the nVidia card but it hardly matters.
