Question : emc cx600 - how do I get dell 64 bit server to see the emc harddrives

Ok, I have a emc cx600 Clariion and a dell 64 bit server and I need to see the hard disk drives of the emc cx600.  I have made all the connections and set up the array on the emc side and I can see the hard disk drives in the Windows 64 bit OS.  Here is where the problem comes in:  When I try to access the hard drives in Windows disk manager It says the disk needs initialized.  You try to initialize the disk and it says the device is not ready.  You try to create a new volume and it says the disk must be initialized, and you try to initialize the disk and it says the device is not ready.  What am I missing ?  Do I need to install any additional software on the Dell Windows 64 bit server to make this work ?  Thanks !

Usually you are allowed 10 KMS hosts with a single key for load balancing and what not. Your Windows 2008 KMS B key will be able to activate both Windows server and Windows 7/Vista clients. The Windows 7 KMS key would be used to setup a KMS host that can only activate Windows 7 machines.

I would try registering the KMS key on the Windows server and see if it will go.
