Question : FreeNAS nic teaming problem

After following the quide for NIC teaming:

I loose connection with the server.

I have tried this with a HP AiO1200r and a SuperMicro 2U box and in both cases the FreeNAS runs fine until I add the second NIC. After I setup the lagg0 as the main IP address with opt1 & opt2 I am no longer able to connect to the units.

I know the config setup does work as I have used it woth some whiteboxes with two nics and it works perfectly.

Any ideas?

I tried FEC (FastEtherChannel) and it seems to be working.

What is the difference between FEC and LACP?
