Question : Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010

Hello,

I converted a Visual Studio 2005 project (with Crystal Reports) to Visual Studio 2010.  After attempting to open and edit my Crystal Report, I found out that Crystal Reports is not automatically included in Visual Studio 2010.  I followed some advice from a previous thread on Experts Exchange and downloaded the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Beta.  After installing the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Beta, I was now able to open and edit my Crystal Reports.

The problem:  I have another Visual Studio 2010 project that creates an .Exe when built.  This project uses Crystal Reports as well.  When the .Exe runs from my local computer, it works great.  When I deploy this .Exe to one of our web servers, it errors out when attempting to access the Crystal Report.  I followed the advice of the following Url but with no success:  http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d085f103-ff2d-2d10-2f9e-ffb14d10ef33?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true

Any advice / help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Answer : Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010

Thank you for your responses.

Solution:
1.)  Uninstalled Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010
2.)  Backed out all of the changes I made to the client (Crystal Reports 2008 runtime, etc.)
3.)  Since my Visual Studio .Net project uses Crystal Reports heavily, I stopped using Visual Studio 2010 and reverted back to using Visual Studio 2005.

I am going to wait for the full Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 version is released,, along with the related runtime redistributable package, which the Url I had attached to the initial question said "...is intended to be used on a test development computer to try out the new version of the developer offering; and therefore, does not provide the runtime redistributable packages required to deploy your VS 2010 application."  This websites work-around did not work after trying many differant things.

By the way, I didn't see a release date, for the full version of Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010, on the websites I visited.  Does anybody know of any specific release date?

Please let me know
Thanks again
