Question : How to log in to a machine

Hi,

How can i log in to someone's machine in my network? are there any softwares of ways that i can log in to a particulary machine in a network, without letting the user know about it?

I'm not sure but I don't think you can, but the only I know of is sharing files over a network.  But if you are talking about log in like as in doing so on a regular basis then I don't think you can.

Even now a days you can control your computer from far away like controlling home pc from work pc over the internet. Then I know there is service out there like that.  I just don't know what its called.
