Question : Windows Rights Management Server

I'm hoping someone can help here. This is the situation.

I've been asked to implement a Windows Rights Management Server (no previous experience with said Role).  The OS is Windows Server 2008 Standard R2.  I threw up a test box to install after reading the setup docs, and ran into some issues.  No worries, it was a test, so I'll simply kill out the test box and use a different one.  I did remove the role from the test box before blowing it away.

Now, here's the problem:  When I try to add the RMS role to a different box, it tells me there's an existing AD RMS root cluster in the forest, and the new server will host a RMS licensing only cluster.

I used the adscpregister tool to remove the SCP, no change.  I found a forum online that recommended going into ADSIEdit, to Configuration>Services, and deleting the CN=RightsManagementServices entry.  I did look in there, but I have not been able to find an entry that's anywhere similar to that.

At this point, it's pretty apparent there's something still in AD holding onto the original information, and I was hoping I could get some advice from someone who's familiar with working with WRM, as this is something I've never had a real-life scenario to work with prior to this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Answer : Windows Rights Management Server

Download Rights Management Services Administration Toolkit with SP2 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=BAE62CFC-D5A7-46D2-9063-0F6885C26B98&displaylang=en and use AD SCP Register tool to unregister SCP. Then verify it is really removed using Get RMS SCP tool.
Then install your RMS again when your SCP is really removed.

Remember about removing https binding from your IIS site before installing RMS again!
