Question : printer not using default settings

Windows XP SP3
I have 2 printers set up on this computer.
1 is an HP LaserJet 2035.
2 is a network Zebra printer GX420d.

This is my problem.  When I use my application to print to the Zebra, it does not use the default settings of the printer.  I have the correct siize label set up using the Properties of the Zebra printer in the Printers program from Control Panel.  I can set the label size when I go to print and it works fine.  But if I switch applications and use the HP LaserJet to print, when I switch back to the Zebra,  I have to set the label size again...

Thanks,
Brooks

Answer : printer not using default settings

I have worked with Zebra printers and had similiar issues, mine were resolved with the correct driver not the newest one or the latest one. Do you have any other computers with Zebra printers attached? If so you can determine the driver needed from one of those. Also you may be able to get the information from the application vendor. The application and correct driver are the key.
